Some people simple do not like gardening. If it is something that you do not enjoy then you will probably put it off for weeks and even months making it a much harder task when you do come to do it.
If this is you, and gardening is more of a chore than something you enjoy doing then you need to make it as easy as possible. If you have areas within your garden that are prone to weeds then why not put down some weeding blanket. You will need to dig out the top layer of soil, but the weed blanket down and then cover it over. Some people chose to cover it with bark or gravel instead of soil. Making a rockery can also transform a dead area of soil in to a pretty little garden and does not cost much to do. Often you can find people giving away free rocks that you could use.
