With the darn nights drawing in and the colder weather coming in fast, many people are trying to give their garden one last go over before it must be left until spring. Over the winter months grass tends to not grow very fast at all so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about cutting it. When you do your final cut before winter, you need to try and take it short but not too short that it dies off completely. It is worth going around the garden and collecting all toys, equipment and furniture items up that can be stored away to protect them from the frost, rain and snow.

During the winter months you will not have many opportunities to pick up your trowel and start doing the weeding which is why you need to stay on top of it during autumn.

If you have a garden shed then it is a good idea to try and have a sort out to ensure that you are only storing what you need and that it is waterproof. There is no point storing all your garden furniture in a shed that leaks in water.
