Often mistakenly referred to as Wroxham, Hoveton is separated from Wroxham by the river Bure there is some disagreement as to where one starts and the other ends, The signposts are at either end of the bridge. Hoveton is Home to Roys of Wroxham which claims to be the worlds largest village store, Roys dominates Hoveton's main Street with Garden Centre, Supermarket, Toy Shop etc..It even has it's own MacDonalds. There is also a small shopping precinct with some charity shops, betting shop local store, off-license etc.. There are several banks and building societies with Cash machines. Norfolk constabulary have a police station in Hoveton
