At the edge of Horsey Mere you can find Horsey drainage mill, Originally built in 1911 it has now been completley restored by the Natonal Trust. At Horsey mill there is a gift shop and River trips start from here aboard "Lady Ann" and there is a pub "The Nelsons Head" a few minutes walk away. There is also a public phone box outside the pub.
